StackSiren for Replit
Security check for Replit apps
Replit is an online IDE and host; Replit Agent can generate and deploy full apps. Deployments are served on a replit.app subdomain or a custom domain.
Common issues to check before launch
- Keys hard-coded in source files instead of Replit Secrets
- A public /.env file or debug endpoints left reachable
- Missing HTTPS redirect or security headers on custom servers
Practical fixes
- Store keys in Replit Secrets (environment variables), never in code
- Make sure your server doesn't serve dotfiles
- Add security headers in your server framework (for example helmet for Express)
What StackSiren does
Paste your Replit app's public URL. StackSiren makes a few normal GET requests and checks for exposed keys, Supabase/Firebase config, security headers, HTTPS, exposed files and SEO basics. The full report includes fix prompts you can paste into Replit or any AI coding tool.
These are common patterns, not claims about every Replit app. Many apps have none of these issues.
